CPSP concerned

RAWALPINDI - The executive committee of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) on Tuesday showed its concerns over the actions of the Registrar Pakistan Medical and Dental Association (PMDC).
During the meeting, the committee took a serious notice for not registering the fellows by the Registrar PMDC without any valid reason and using delaying tactics to put off the orders of honorable courts.
The meeting was chaired by CPSP President Prof Zafar Ullah Chaudhry while attended by members of executive committee from all provinces and armed forces.
While addressing the participants of meeting, Dr Zafar said that the degree of CPSP was recognised all over the world respectfully, adding that CPSP was also awarded as the best college of world and Socrates Award in a ceremony held recently in Oxford.
"Saudi Arabia and Ireland are benefiting from the educational system of the college and the e-log system of the college is a role model and being appreciated the worldwide," he added.
Due to this illegal action of PMDC, he said, over 10,000 fellows of CPSP were conveying their concerns and agony. Such actions were leading to further deterioration of repute of PMDC, he added.
"CPSP expects immediate action by the government and it has been decided to take this serious issue at every highest forum" the CPSP president said.
The members also appealed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and State Minister for Health Saira Afzal Tarar for an action against the PMDC Registrar for his unnecessary decision. The members also expressed their commitment to look after the prestige and dignity of the institution and its fellows.
