ISLAMABAD - The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is all set to launch in-depth scrutiny of accounts of Bahria Town from Monday, sources said on Friday.According to sources, FBR is preparing to probe Bahria Town accounts to ascertain allegations relating to tax evasion by Malik Riaz Hussain and associates. Sources said that the accounts related to Bahria Town schemes in Islamabad and other cities have been frozen in order to ascertain challenging task of tax evasion. However, some were not much upbeat about a major breakthrough in this connection, saying it would be a mundane effort by the FBR because of multi-layered partnerships and complicated account systems of Bahria Town management.
