RAWALPINDI - Two soldiers of Pakistan Army died while five others got injured after they were hit by a railway engine in Bhuta Sultan area of Sohawa, informed Rescue 1122 sources here on Sunday.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, the incident took place at 09:25pm when the soldiers of Pakistan Army were busy in exercises in connection with their training near railway track. A railway engine hit seven troops when they were crossing the railway track, sources added. Two soldiers died on the spot while five others sustained critical injuries, sources added.
Rescue 1122 spokesman, when contacted, confirmed the incident saying Rescue 1122 shifted 3 injured to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, Sohawa. He added that the dead bodies and two injured were shifted by Army ambulances. He said that the injured were later taken to Combined Military Hospital Rawalpindi for medical treatment by Pakistan Army ambulances. The names of the deceased and injured could not be confirmed.
BOY KILLED OVER PETTY ISSUE
A young boy was murdered here at Arya Mohalla allegedly by his rivals who fought with him in cricket ground, police informed here on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Adeel son of Manzoor Khan. According to police, a brawl occurred between Adeel and some others while playing cricket but later the dispute was settled down by the elders.
However, on the day of incident the rival party opened firing on Adeel and killed him on the spot. The dead body was shifted to DHQ for autopsy while murderers managed to escape from the scene, police said. Police filed a case and started investigation.
