At least five persons were killed and 13 others sustained injuries in collision between a bus carrying a wedding party and truck here in Burewala on Friday.
According to details, the passenger bus was going to Manchanabad from Dunyapur when it collided with a truck coming from opposite side when the driver tried to overtake a trailer near Chak No 217 Gogo Mandi near Burewala, killing four persons on the spot and injuring 14 others. Later an injured succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
The deceased were identified as Muhammad Iqbal, Khursheed, Ashraf, Ghulam Raza and the identity of the fifth victim was yet to be ascertained.
Five of the injured were shifted to Gogo Mandi Rural Health Centre while the eight others were admitted at the District Headquarters Hospital Burewala.
