Secy directs fast work on Katchi Abadis regularisation

KARACHI - Provincial Secretary Katchi Abadis and Special Development Department, Qabool Ahmed Shaikh, has directed the field officers to send detailed reports within 15 days regarding Sasti Basti Project and accelerate the pace of regularisation work of Katchi Abadis in their respective regions. This he Said while presiding over a meeting of field directors of SKAA to review the overall performance. The secretary asked the Director General SKAA to approach the federal government authorities/heads regarding Katchi Abadis especially KPT, Railway, Sui Gas, Northern Gas etc and others for resolving/disposal of concerned issues. He urged upon the field officers to take appropriate steps to stop the encroachments in their respective areas as well as send the details of the pending enquiries against officers and officials within 15 days, besides taking efforts to dispose of the court cases on priority basis. The secretary said that to augment the proficiency and reputation of the government, speed up the recovery process and achieve the desired results of the revenue receipts. He further said SRD projects detailed report should be sent to the head office so that new projects could be launched in slums. He described that institution was running on the self-funded basis together with salaries, development schemes and other matters basis so that they discharge their duties efficiently, hardworking and devotion to achieve desired results of the target set by the institution. The secretary SKAA showed his displeasure over Sukkur, Mirpurkhas and Larkana field directors but was satisfied with the performance of Karachi and Hyderabad directors. He directed them to improve performance and achieve better outcome. He directed them to dispose of the high profile cases of SKAA House, Hur Camp matters etc with concerned departments. Director General SKAA, M Yaseen Shar, Director Finance, Imtiaz Memon, Field Directors, Imdad Lashari, Muhab Ali Bajkani, Rustum Lashari, Allah Bachayo Gabol and Javed Khan, and others attended the meeting.
