10 more shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI – Ten people were gunned down in separate acts of violence in different parts of the metropolis on Thursday.
A man was shot dead along with his nephew in Orangi No-4 within the jurisdiction of Pirabad police station.
Police said that the victims namely Syed Nisar Mehdi, 42, and his nephew Abbas was going somewhere on a motorbike when unidentified armed culprits riding a motorbike stopped them and opened fire. Resultantly both the victims received multiple bullet injuries and died on the way to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The bodies were handed over to their families after autopsy. Police suspected sectarian killing behind the murder.
A police constable was shot dead at Al-Asif Square within the remits of Sohrab Goth police station.
Police said that the victim Nazeer, 50, was doing his duty where unidentified assailants riding a motorbike came and started indiscriminate firing. Resultantly, Nazeer received multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot. The body of the victim was shifted to ASH for postmortem and later handed over to heirs. Police officials believed that the deceased cop was shot dead by growing force of extremist militants.
Meanwhile, a man sitting at his shop was shot dead in Bihar Colony within the remits of Pakistan Bazaar police station over sectarian grounds.
Police said that Naseem Fazal, 35, was sitting at his pet shop located in Sector 16, Orangi Town where gunmen targeted him and managed to flee.
He was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead and handed the body over to the family. Police termed the murder as sectarian killing.
A man was gunned down in Dalmia Street No-7 within the remits of Aziz Bhatti police station.
Police said the victim identified as Sanaullah, 35, was going somewhere when unidentified culprits shot him dead. Police said the victim was affiliated with Lyari gang and nominated in eight criminal cases.
Moreover, a man was gunned down in Gulshan-e-Sikandar within the limits of Jackson police station.
Police said the victim identified as Sikandar was on his way to workplace when culprits namely Ibrahim, Tahir and Sita targeted him. He received multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital for autopsy and later handed over to heirs. Police suspected personal dispute behind the murder.
In a separate incident, a man was shot dead in Khairabad area within the jurisdiction of Manghopir police station.
Police said the victim namely Wajiullah, resident of same area, was on the way to home when pillion armed rider started indiscriminate firing. He died on the way to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Another man was gunned down in Khuda Ki Basti area within the limits of Sarjani police station.
Police said the victim namely Tahir Shah was standing near his residence when unidentified motorcyclists came and sprayed bullets. He died on the spot. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to ASH for medicolegal formalities and later handed over to his heirs. The motive behind the killing has yet to be ascertained.
Police found a shot dead body within the remits of Sachal police station. It said the deceased identified as Ahmed Shah Jan, resident of Sohrab Goth, went missing from Wednesday while his body was found from the bushes. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where his family identified him. 
A security guard of a private company was gunned down in Rashidabad area in Site-B police precincts. Police said that the victim identified as Badsha Khan was going along with his co-worker where unidentified bandits intercepted the vehicle. On showing resistance, they opened fire at him which resulted in his sudden death. The bandits managed to flee with the looted amount worth Rs60,000. The body was shifted to ASH for medicolegal formalities and later handed over to his family.
