Raiwind march will take place before Muharram, says Imran

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will announce the date of Raiwind march in two days, Chairman Imran Khan said on Friday, Waqt News reported.

Talking to reporters, the PTI chairman said that he would address a rally at Raiwind. “We won’t be going to Nawaz Sharif’s house. We will be holding a rally somewhere in Raiwind.”

“The march will happen at any cost. I’m 100 per cent sure it’ll take place. We will hold the march before the holy month of Muharram,” said the PTI chairman.

Imran Khan had earlier announced he would lead a march to Raiwind on September 24 to protest against the ruling Pakistan Muslime League-N and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

“Nawaz Sharif, take note. We won't be your slaves. I'll bring the whole nation to your doorstep,” Imran Khan had said at a rally on the country’s Defence Day.

PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Arif Alvi met Leader of Opposition in Nation Assembly Khurshid Shah on Wednesday and extended an invitation to PPP to join the Raiwind march.

Pakistan Muslim League President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain had said he would hold a meeting with Imran Khan in order to discuss the possibility of changing the venue of the march.
