Peshawar- Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KPK) government announced today that it has decided to reduce the number of houses given to Government officials in Peshawar to cut down expenses.
According to the reports, the KPK government has constituted two committees for the implementation of the plan. Senior minister and chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj ul Haq will head these committees.
According to government sources, committees have been granted 10 days to submit the report. It further added that the reduction in the area of the houses will provide opportunities to more employees to avail the government residence facilities.
In addition to this, it has been suggested to give residence allowance with salary rather than a house to government officials. Similarly, instead of being provided cars, the government officials should be compensated with a monthly allowance.
