All set to celebrate Independence Day

BAHAWALPUR - All set to celebrate 65th Independence Day of Pakistan on August 14, as the city is buzzing with different activities including setting up of stalls of flags, buntings, stickers, caps, posters and badges and the residents are buying these items to mark the occasion in a befitting manner.
The national flag has been fluttering atop at most of the city houses and people of all age groups, especially children have been purchasing national flags.
The arrangements to celebrate the Independence Day of Pakistan on August 14 are in full swing as the city bazaars and many houses have been given a new look and have been started to decorate tastefully to mark the happy and historical  occasion.
The day will dawn with special prayers in the mosques for the stability, solidarity, progress and prosperity of the country.
The main function of the day will be organized by the local administration while flag hoisting ceremonies will also be held at the Islamia University, LHC, Bahawalpur Bench, Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur, Central Library, Museum and Central Jail.
