Kausar promises best education system in Fata

PESHAWAR - Governor Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, Barrister Masood Kausar, has said that the higher education is among the top priorities of the government and we want best education system to be implemented in FATA.
He said this at a meeting with the Board of Directors of FATA Education Foundation attended by ACS FATA, Secretary Social Sector FATA and MD FATA Education Foundation and others at the Governor’s House Peshawar on Thursday.
The Governor was briefed at a presentation about the progress on the decision taken during the first BoD Meeting, status of funds, approval of organization structure and placement of existing staff and approval of budget for the year 2012-13 besides other matters which were discussed in the meeting about FATA Education Foundation.
The Governor said there should be a positive change in the education system of FATA by introducing modern subjects in the syllabus to make the tribal people equipped with modern education and advance knowledge to face the challenges of the modern world.
He said young generation should be involved in policy making to bring new ideas and creativity in the education system in FATA.
 He asked to explore new methods to make the examination system transparent to avoid the exploitation of actual talent in FATA.
He said education should be merit based and asked to encourage the participation of women in teaching profession to increase the enrollment of female students in FATA schools and colleges.
He said proper and accessible sites for the establishment of academic institutions should be selected to provide easy access to all the students in tribal areas to get the basic right of education. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said there should be proper driving schools in FATA to properly train the tribal people not only to avoid tragic incidence but to make them able to get jobs even in foreign countries.
He said tribal people are the most talented people if they are given proper education facilities.
