ATC Quetta gives one day exemption to Musharraf

QUETTA- Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) of Quetta today gave former president Pervez Musharraf, one day exemption from appearance before the court in Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case. The court directed the DG health to submit medial report of Musharraf.

ATC judge Nazir Ahmed Lango was hearing Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case. During the hearing Musharraf’s lawyer, Zeeshan Cheema told the court that his client could not appear before the court due to poor health condition. He appealed the court to give one day exemption to Musharraf, which was accepted by the court.   

DG Health failed to submit medical report of Musharraf to which the court expressed annoyance and directed DG health, with help of the Sindh government to form joint medical board for conducting medical examination of Pervez Musharraf.

The court directed that medical report of Musharraf must be presented before the court in next hearing. During the hearing, former interior minister Aftab Sherpao, former Baluchistan home minister Shoaib Nowsherwani and two guarantors of Musharraf, Mumtaz Hussain and Nazir Ahmed also appeared before the court in Bugti murder case. The court adjourned the hearing till January 14 next year.
