Air strikes kill 12 terrorists

PESHAWAR/ KHYBER AGENCY - At least 12 terrorists were killed and 15 others injured in air strikes by security forces in Kokikhel area of Terah Valley in Khyber Agency, reported Waqt TV channel.
According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday, the forces also destroyed seven hideouts of the terrorists. Like North Waziristan, a military operation is also underway against terrorists in Terah Valley of Khyber Agency.    
LAWYER SHOT DEAD IN TANK
Prominent lawyer and ex-president district bar association Tank was killed and another sustained injuries when unidentified armed men opened firing on their car on Monday.
According to details, senior lawyer and former president of district bar association Abdur Rehman was going to Kutchehry along with another lawyer Yousaf Burki Advocate, when unidentified armed assailants opened indiscriminate firing on their car at main Tank bazaar.
As a result, Abdur Rehman died on the spot, while Yousaf Burki, who is also senior vice president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) sustained injuries in the attack. He was shifted to hospital. However his condition is stated to be critical.
Soon after the incident, police cordoned off the area and started search to nab the attackers. However, no arrest was made till filing of this report. The attackers have fled after committing the crime.
BLAST HURTS 4 MEMBERS OF
PEACE BODY
At least four members of a peace committee sustained injuries in a bomb blast in Mohmand Agency on Monday.
According to details, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by unknown miscreants along a roadside at Shandara locality in tehsil Baizai of the agency went off when the peace committee members were passing through the area. As a result four members of the committee sustained injuries, who were shifted to the nearby hospital for treatment.  
Soon after the happening, security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation to nab miscreants involved in the incident. However, no arrest was made till filing of this report.
FC personnel killed in
landmine blast
A security force personnel was killed when a landmine exploded in the Bezo Sar area of Lower Kurram Agency on Monday.
According to an official of the security forces, Frontier Corps personnel Farooq stepped on a landmine, which was planted by unknown militants, while he was getting water. There was an explosion and Farooq died on the spot.
An official said that members of the security force started a search operation in the area, however, no arrests have been made so far.
