Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) in collaboration with literary society Sukhanwer held a colourful ceremony to launch a collection of poetry 'Awaz Aser' written by famous intellectual and poet Prof Dr Maqsood Jafferi here on Tuesday.
Jononov Sher Ali, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan, presided over the book launching ceremony while Abdul Hameed, Chairman Academy of Letters, was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr Najeeb Jamal, Dr Maqsood Jaffari, Naheed Manzoor, Pattern in Chief of Sukhanwer Naseem-e-Saher, Arshad Malik, and Aftab Zia participated as special guests.
Dr Maqsood Jafferi shared his experiences during the writing of his book. He also paid rich tribute to Naheed Manzoor for rendering her distinctive services in the field of art and cultural and also applauded the efforts of Waqar Ahmed for wonderful services.
Jononov Sher Ali praised the poetry of Dr Maqsood Jafferi and termed it an awesome collection. At the end of ceremony, Waqar Ahmed thanked all the guests for visiting Rawalpindi Arts Council.–Staff Reporter
