Sub-Inspector Ikramullah was injured in a shootout with three armed suspects near Winni village.
On a tip off that the three fugitives had set up a picket near Winni village where they were looting the people, a police contingent rushed to the spot. On seeing the police party, they opened firing on the police party. As a result, Ikramullah was seriously injured. However, the police party gave a hot chase and succeeded in arresting all them.
The police are tight-lipped in disclosing the identity of the accused so as to arrest the other members of the gang. The police have also seized fire arms from the accused and removed the injured to the DHQ Hospital.
