Karachi- Rehman Malik, PPP Senator and former interior minister, said today that all airports across the country are federal territory therefore putting all the blame on Sindh government for Karachi tragedy isn’t fair.
Taking to media here, Malik said that the federal government is responsible for security at all airports in Pakista.
“Sindh government is being blamed unfairly,” he remarked.
Former interior minister said that spots from where terrorists entered the airport could have been easily controlled, adding such an attack should be a source of concern for the government.
Malik demanded of the federal government to take immediate action against the terrorists. “Time has come to act against terrorism,” he asserted.
Sindh government has been under fire especially after authorities’ failure to rescue around eight people who were stuck in a cold storage following the attack on Sunday night. All the dead bodies were recovered today morning; hours after authorities including the federal government-controlled Civil Aviation Authority declared the airport clear.
