ISLAMABAD Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices to defence minister and Director General Military Intelligence in a petition filed against trial of a civilian in the military court, on Wednesday. Single-judge bench comprising Justice Riaz Ahmed Khan heard the petition filed by Fazalur Rehman. The petitioner has pleaded that his two sons Mohammad Awais and Kaleem ur Rehman are in the custody of military intelligence and are being tried at an unknown place. Furthermore, it has pleaded that military intelligence is not a competent authority to hold trial of any civilian. Therefore, the IHC asked the concerned officials to produce his two sons before the court and allow them to hire a lawyer. After hearing the arguments the judge issued notices to said parties.
