51 suspects held in police raids

SARGODHA - Sargodha police have launched a crackdown on drug peddlers, illegal arm holders, proclaimed offenders, court absconders, gamblers and prostitution dens and arrested 51 suspected persons.
In response to the directions of District Police Officer Raja Riffat Mukhtar, the police parties made raids in their respective areas and arrested the accused including three women namely Zulfiqar, Jamil, Shafique, Sharif, Latif, Anbreen, Nasreen and Nasim Araa allegedly involved in fraud cases.
Asad Kandan was involved in an attempt-to-murder case; Muhammad Afzal, Muhammad Akhtar and Shahid Hayat were wanted in abduction-cum-rape cases; and Noman Bhatti, Tiput Sultan, Muhammad Aslam, Imran Khan, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Nawaz, Ghulam Farid and Munir were involved in trespass to land case.
Likewise, Suleman, Masood, Arshad, Khalid, Akbar and Bashir were held for carrying illicit arms; Arif, Nadim, Junaid, Ghulam Muhammad, Ali Asghar, Mukhtar Masih and Imran for carrying narcotics; and Rauf, Sajid, Umer Draz, Nazir, Abdul Qadir, Dildar, Wasim, Altaf, Zahoor, Shams Munir, Ikram, Adnan, Khadim, Zafar, Sajid, Imran, Arshad and Asghar for gambling. The police have also recovered Rs34,850 in cash, 968 grams of heroin and weapons from their possession.
