SNGPL committed to serving consumers

The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) is committed to delivering the best possible services to the consumers and reducing ‘unaccounted for gas (UFG)’ losses.
In line with that, one window operation at the Customer Service Centre (CSC) and Regional Distribution Office Faisalabad has been started to facilitate the consumers. The CSC caters to such issues as submission of applications for new gas connections, queries regarding issuance of demand notices, instalments of gas bills and other billing issues, installation of gas connections, reconnections, replacement of stopped meters etc.
Token system is in place at the CSC in order to ensure discipline and discourage touts. Executives from sales, distribution, accounts and billing have also been deputed to supervise their staff in addressing consumer’s grievances. Queries and complaints received from consumers were responded at different Customer Service Centres and Complaint Centres of SNGPL’s Faisalabad region from July 2015 to February 2016. A new building for CSC Regional Office Faisalabad is under construction that would further facilitate the consumers. Moreover, budget has been approved by OGRA for establishment of a new CSC at Narwala Road, Faisalabad which will cater to the consumers residing in the vicinity. Hiring of building for the said CSC is in process.
Further, a many domestic meters were also disconnected on account of violation, theft and volume of 350 MMCF worth Rs210 million was recovered during fiscal year up to 29.02.2016. As many as 31,374 applications for domestic gas connection were received and 26,300 demand notices issued for new domestic gas connections from July 2015 to February 2016.
