LAHORE - Secretary General PML-Likeminded Group, Humayun Akhtar Khan has said that Chaudhrys of Gujrat are staging a drama of their own MNAs 'rejoining of the party just to deceive the PPP. Addressing a news conference at his residence along with former Foreign Minister, Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri, he said that Prince Mohayuddin, Nawaz Alai and Talib Nakai, who have 'rejoined the PML-Q, had never been associated with the Likeminded group. 'Riaz Fatyana and Israr Khan Tareen are standing with us from the very beginning, he said, rejecting reports of their going back to the PML-Q. Humayun alleged that Chaudhry brothers always sacrificed party interests over their personal gains. 'We had stated earlier that Chaudhrys of Gujrat do politics for the interests of their own family and it is because of this attitude of theirs that party got divided into two groups two years back, he observed. He said they had already lost their majority in Senate and now they would face defections in the National Assembly. Calling the PML-Q a group of opportunists, Humayun said they had committed political suicide by siding with the PPP. He said people were fed up with the present rulers but Chaudhrys were supporting the 'crumbling wall. He believed they will not succeed in their effort to save the government.
