Doctors' strike enters fourth day in Quetta

QUETTA - Doctors’ strike in government hospitals of Quetta entered into fourth consecutive day on Monday. The strike was observed on the call of Young Doctors Association (YDA) on increase kidnapping of doctors in the province.
All the Outdoor Patient Departments (OPDs) have been shut down in government hospitals across the province from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m as a result of which the patients are facing severe difficulties.
The protesters were of the view that doctors feel unsafe due to increase in kidnapping for ransom activities against them however the provincial government is playing the role of a silent spectator.
They also stated that patients are not being provided with any sort of facilities. Besides this the protesters also warned that they will prolong the strike if their demands are not fulfilled.
