Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated the power project n Baloki, Waqt News reported. He and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif were present at the ceremony.
While addressing the gathering the PM stated that he has been in politics since 1981 but never has he seen such transparency and savings. “The projects including Baloki Power plant will start generating electricity from 2017 and no one has asked for any favors,” he claimed.
PM further told the audience that the project cost has been reduced to Rs55 billion from Rs93 billion. “In all projects we have saved Rs110 billion,” he stated Sharif also claimed that Pakistan is en route to success as in next two to three years there will be no load shedding. "The country will be free from power and gas load shedding by 2018,” he exclaimed.
The PM also pointed out that these energy and other development projects would have been completed earlier. “The dharna politics delayed the progress of Pakistan,” he said
