KHAIRPUR A woman along with her husband were shot dead by armed culprits in Gambat city on Sunday. Nine armed assailants attacked the house of Muhammad Nawaz Saheto at Mohallah Mirbahar Gambat and opened fire on the family members. Resultantly Muhammad Nawaz Saheto, Naeema Depar were killed while one Rabnawaz Saheto was injured. The reason behind the murder is stated to be freewill marriage. Deceased Naeema Depar had contracted freewill marriage with Ali Nawaz Sahjeto seven months ago and her parents were not happy on this, so they attacked upon her house. The dead bodies were laid in the house for more than four hours. Police reached and took the bodies into custody. Later the bodies were handed over to their relatives after autopsy from Gambat Hospital. No case was registered till filing of this report. GIRL COMMITS SUICIDE: A ninth class student on Sunday committed suicide by jumping into canal near Tharimirwah. A girl Khalida Jogi jumped herself into a canal near Tharimirwah and committed suicide. Her parents searched for the body but failed to do so till the filing of story. NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL HELD: A notorious criminal was arrested along with the weapon by Sobhodero Police after an encounter on Saturday night. When Sobhodero Police reached near village Sial, armed persons opened fire on the police party. After exchange of fire, police arrested a notorious criminal Papu Sial along with one Kalashnikov while his other accomplices managed to escape from the spot. According to police, Sial was wanted in several criminal cases. Meanwhile, a 60-feet wide breach was occurred in Khuhra Minor near village Suk Wahan on Sunday. Six houses, one mosque, fish farm and hundreds of acres of land inundated.
