PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Industries Shaukat Ali Yousafzai while deciding to establish new industrial estates in the province has asked the federal government to lift ban on gas connections to new industries and to restore incentives of the Gadoon Amazai Industrial Estate. He said that industrial development was not possible without special incentives to terror-hit province.This he said while talking to Chairman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment Mohsin Aziz in Peshawar on Thursday. Additional Secretary Industries Muhammad Tariq and other officials concerned were also present on the occasion. Shaukat Yousafzai repeated his commitment to bring about a real change in the department and said that collective efforts were needed for development of the province. He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa being a frontline and gas producing province should be provided incentives by the federal government and ban on gas supply to new industries should also be lifted. He also decided to establish management board in the technical educational institutions for improving their performance. The minister also decided to restructure the Small Industries Development Board and Sarhad Development Authority to ensure industrial development in the province.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
