Peshawar- Jamaat-e-Islami’s Prof. Ibrahim, who is a member of Taliban-proposed negotiating committee, is hopeful that the militants will extend their ceasefire with the government.
“We are making an effort for a few days’ extension in the ceasefire and hopefully it will be announced in a couple of days,” said negotiator of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Replying to a question about the reports of infighting among some militant groups, he said “I have no information of the differences between Taliban factions. They have ensured us that they are taking all groups onboard and I hope they will succeed…. There are many complications but we will overcome them if God be willing.”
