One killed in Naseerabad; Check-post attacked

QUETTA - A man was killed in Naseerabad district while a check-post of security personnel was attacked in Kech district, on Friday.According to police, armed men in Gott Ghabi Khan within the Sadar police station limits Naseerabad opened fire on a person identified as Mahsu Khan and fled from the scene. As a result, he sustained critical injuries and died on the spot.Police moved the body to hospital for autopsy, however, motive behind killing could not be ascertained.In another incident, unknown armed men fired rockets on a check post of security forces in Shah Salim area of Mand in Kech district. The rockets landed close to the check post with big a bang, however, no loss of life and damage to property was reported in the attack.Separately, a huge blast followed by intense firing was heard in Turbat City, the headquarter of Kech district.Sources said that armed men hurled a hand grenade on security personnel which exploded with a huge blast. However, no loss of life and damage to property was reported. The attackers fled from the spot when security personnel opened fire.Meanwhile, explosives placed in a heap of garbage in Gulistan Road of Quetta exploded with a big bang. However, no loss of life and damage to property was reported.Meanwhile, Levies Force on a tip-off recovered three kidnapped persons in Bagh Nari.Deputy Commissioner Bolan district Aslam Raisani, confirmed that Levies Force raided in Bagh Nari area and recovered three kidnapped people. He said that all three kidnapped persons belonged to Sukkur who had been kidnapped and brought to Balochistan.Levies Force has registered a case and further investigations are underway.
