IHC raises objections over the petition seeking orders for stopping Azadi march

ISLAMABAD- Islamabad High Court (IHC) has raised objections on the petition seeking orders for preventing Azadi March and sit in announced by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Islamabad on August, 14.

While putting off the hearing of the case till today, the IHC ordered the petitioner to attach index and remove other objections.


A single bench of IHC comprising Chief Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi took up Abdullah Tahir Vs. federation case for hearing Monday. The petitioner Abdullah Tahir appeared in the case in person.

After preliminary hearing Chief Justice IHC Muhammad Anwar Khan Kansi remarked the petition is incomplete, therefore, it cannot be admitted for regular hearing. The petitioner should remove the objections and then court will admit it for regular hearing.

The petitioner has made the federation of Pakistan and the Ministry of Interior as respondents.
