ISLAMABAD - Minister for Information Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan wanted to resume the talks  process from the point it were stalled, then he would have to drop his plan to shut down Karachi & Lahore, and return to his container at D-Chowk.
Talking to newsmen here on Wednesday, he said Khursheed Shah was a respectable person and the government would act upon his advice regarding resumption of talks with the PTI. About the constitution of judicial commission to probe alleged irregularities in 2013 general elections, he said it would be formed when environment would become conducive and its members would feel that they would not be abused and their decisions would be accepted.
Pervaiz said after putting Faisalabad on fire, Imran had plans to paralyze Lahore and Karachi.
Earlier, speaking at a function organized by APHC in connection with the International Human Rights Day, the minister said the resolution of Kashmir dispute was in the interest of India, Pakistan, Kashmiris and the entire region as it would bring peace and economic prosperity in the region.
Peaceful settlement of the longstanding issue would allow both Pakistan and India to divert their national resources towards the welfare of their masses, he added.
The minister said that Pakistan always reminded India and the United Nations their pledge to the people of Kashmir and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in his recent speech at the UN General Assembly session had reiterated the same resolve and pledge.
