Major reshuffling in Sialkot police

SIALKOT - District Police Officer (DPO) Sialkot Bilal Sadiq Kamiyana has transferred and posted Sialkot polices as many as 62 inspectors, sub-inspectors and ASIs (along with their subordinating staff) who had been lying posted at the police stations falling in their home tehsils since long. The DPO said that the reshuffling was made following the instructions from the Punjab Inspector General of Police. Under the policy, the policemen were not allowed to be posted at the police stations located in their residential tehsils. After the huge reshuffling, most of the politically influential police officials have started struggle to get their transfer orders cancelled through their well-connected local parliamentarians. It was worth mentioning that this direly needed practice has been done after a long time, due to which the police officials deputed their home tehsils police stations were not in good mood to leave their police stations located near to their residences. The DPO has ordered the above-mentioned reshuffled police officials to join their new duties within 24 hours, in this regard.
