Centre to lodge protest in UN against killings of Palestinians

Lahore-Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmood ur Rashid on Thursday submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly against the indiscriminate shelling and killings of innocent Palestinians by the forces of Israel.  

In the resolution Mian Mehmood ur Rashid said demanded of the Federal government to lodge a strong protest in the United Nations Security Council against the indiscriminate killings of Palestinian children, aged men and women.

He said the world must take notice of the war crimes Israel is committing, especially in the Holy month of Ramadan. He said that Israel has created new records of barbarism and brutality by bombing innocent fasting Muslim children.

Criticizing the role of the Organization of Islamic Countries, the Opposition leader said that it is high time that the OIC comes out of hibernation and plays its positive role to end the illegal barbaric acts of Israel on innocent Palestinians.

The Opposition lead also submitted a resolution against the rise in prices of wheat flour. In the resolution he said that the owners of flour mills have raised the price of wheat flour on their own, He said this act negates the claims of the Punjab government of controlling the prices during Ramadan.
He said all such government claims are only restricted to headlines in newspapers and on news bulletins on television and have nothing to do with reality.

Talking to newsmen the Opposition leader said that the government is afraid of the planned August 14 Tsunami March of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and is trying to divert the attention of the public towards to issue of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

He said that the Punjab Government and its leaders should pay attention to the issues and problems of the 10 crore people of Punjab who are reeling under massive load shedding, risings prices of wheat flour, potatoes and are forced to buy vegetables at inflated prices.

He said that the whole nation is united on the issue of IDPs and by the Grace of Allah they will soon return to their homes in peace.
