Work at AJK varsity in full swing

MIRPUR (AJK) - Mirpur city of Azad Jammu & Kashmir state is going to achieve a major breakthrough in the professional studies in different fields including science and technology with the completion of the Rs9.80 billion campus of the Mirpur University of Science & Technology by the end of 2014.
This was disclosed by MUST Vice Chancellor Naib Hussain Chaudhry.  Director Students Affairs Engineer Faisal Mahmood Butt and Public Relations Officer MUST Raja Muhammad Murtaza were also present.
Prof. Naib Hussain Chaudhry, a seasoned academician and administrative head, said that PM Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani had recently laid down the foundation stone of the mega project of the new grand campus of the MUST near Jari Kass, about 10 KM away of Mirpur city, being constructed on an area of 4,600 kanal of land.
The MUST new campus of international standard is being constructed with the financial assistance of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan with the coordination of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Council, in phases. The construction work in first phase will cost Rs 1.89 billion. Elaborating the project, the Vice Chancellor stated that after the HEC approved Rs1.05 for first phase of  the project, the construction work is in full swing for the construction of academic and administration blocks, approach roads and the overall electrification of the project area.
