Non-bailable warrants for Musharraf, others issued

QUETTA- Anti-Terrorism Court issued non-bailable arrest warrants of former President Pervez Musharraf, former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani and former Deputy Commissioner Dera Bugti Samad Lasi in Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case here Monday.
Accused Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, former Balochistan Home Minister Shoaib Nosharwani and counsels of other parties appeared before the court. After the hearing, the judge issued non-bailable arrest warrants of Musharraf, Shaukat Aziz, Owais Ghani and Abdul Samad Lasi and adjourned the case till June 24.
JI recommends APC to resolve Balochistan issues: Expressing grave concern over the dismal situation of Balochistan, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Liaquat Baloch has recommended that All Parties Conference should be convened to resole all issues including missing persons, extra judicial arrests, targeted killings and interference of intelligence agencies in the province’s affairs.
“We accept our defeat in the May 11 polls since we could not achieve the desired results,” he said during a news conference here at the Press Club Monday. He denounced the issues of decomposed dead bodies, enforced disappearances and targeted killings in the Balochistan. He stressed for joint efforts by all political forces to resolve the issues.  “I recommend Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch to convene an APC to sort out a solution with consensus,” he added. The JI leader regretted that massive rigging took place during the May 11 electoral process, so the JI vehemently rejected the results of two constituencies in Karachi and Hyderabad.
He demanded that re-elections should be held in the constituencies under supervision of the Army.  “If polls are not held, the issues would remain unresolved,” he said adding that until the United States along with its allies did not quit Afghanistan, the situation would not improve in the region.
Opposition benches allotted to JUI, ANP members in BA: Opposition benches have been allotted to JUI-F and Awami National Party (ANP) members in Balochistan Assembly.
The JUI-F despite the decision of sitting on Opposition benches had not filled nomination papers for the slot of Chief Ministership against the joint candidate of PML-N and nationalists Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch and supported him in this connection.
JUI-F which had submitted application for Opposition benches. According to a notification of Balochistan Assembly Secretariat issued here on Monday JUI-F’s Maulana Abdul Wasay, Sardar Abdul Rehman Kethran, Gul Muhammad Dumar, Haji Abdul Malik Kakar, Maulvi Mazullah Mussakhel, Mufti Ghulab Khan, Ms Shahida Rauf, Ms Husun Bano and ANP’s Engineer Zamark Khan Achakzai have been allotted Opposition benches.
