RAWALPINDI: Three men were shot dead by unknown assailants in different localities of the city on Monday.
Police took up murder cases and started investigation.
In the first incident, a father and his son were killed at Tipu Road on late Monday night. According to police and eyewitnesses, Muhammad Yousaf and his son Farooq were shutting down their shop during rain when unknown assailants appeared all of a sudden and sprayed a volley of bullets, killing them on the spot. After committing the crime, the killer managed to escape, informed police.
In another incident, a 34-year-old Raja Qadoos, a property dealer and student organization leader who was shot and injured by unidentified murderers at Shally Valley died at District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital. The deceased's wife in her statement told police that her husband had a property office on the ground floor of his house. She said unknown people called her husband down the stairs. When he went down, they started firing at him.–Staff Reporter
