Former PML-N member Punjab Assembly Nasir Mehmood on Tuesday was arrested from courtroom in a fake degree case.
The Gujrat District and Sessions Court heard the case and pronounced the verdict, sentencing the former MPA to 18 months in prison.
After verdict, the former lawmaker was taken to jail from the courtroom.

Talking to this scribe, teachers, students and their parents expressed concerns over the failure of the department to provide textbooks to the institutions.
They said that after an elapse of six months so for Physics, Mathematics and some other books had not been provided to the students and no one was ready to take responsibility for this lapse.
They demanded the Punjab government to ensure provision of missing books to the students to protect their future.
