RAWALPINDI – While blasting the negative role of NGOs, Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Secretary General Liaquat Baloch termed them anti-Islamic, saying: “These foreign-funded organisations are denting the soft image of Pakistan on the nod of their masters.”
Baloch was addressing a seminar titled “Rights of Converted Muslims” organised by JI city chapter here at Rawalpindi Islamabad Press Club (RIPC) on Wednesday.
Baloch said that it was wrong to drag newly Muslim girls from Sindh province in the courts by Hindu Punchaiat. “Muslim will not allow Hindus to exhort pressure on their sisters,” he said. 
He said why these foreign funded NGOs were not raising their voice to free the daughter of the country Dr Aafia Siddiqui from the clutches of America. He said foreign-funded NGOs didn’t want to oppose anti-human policies of World’s Number 1 terrorist USA.
“The religious parties will join hands to protect the rights of newly Muslims as they have equal rights in Islam. We always welcome new Muslims who converted by his/her own will,” Liaquat Baloch said.
Criticising vehemently the Hindu Punchaiat, the other speakers said that they should not force the Muslim girls to go back their homes as they converted to Islam by their own choice and without any pressure. They said that they would not allow infidels to bring our sisters in the courts just to flash news in media.
Clerics belonging to different schools of thoughts and MNA Mian Abdul Haq Manthar, Incharge Darul Uloom Raja Bazaar Maulana Ashraf Ali, Jamiat-Alhe-Hadit (JAH) Maulana Attique-ur-Rehman, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Pir Abdul Shakoor Naqshbandi, traders’ representative Shiekh Muhammad Saddique, JI Rawalpindi Amir Sajjad Ahmed Abbasi and many others also attended the seminar.
