19th century coins found in Daska

DASKA - As many as 200 Nineteenth Century silver coins, preserved in a clay pot, were found at Aallo Mahar Sharif Village of Daska here.
A farmer was preparing his field when he discovered a small clay pot full of 19th century silver coins. These 200 silver coins carry the dates of 1827 and 1844 at their face. The rare coins weigh from 10 to 15 grams.
The discovery of coins attracted a large number of viewers who were eager to capture a glimpse of the rare coins.
The local officials of Daska Revenue Department told the newsmen that the said coins were the property of the government and would soon be handed over to the Archaeology Department.
