WAZIRABAD - PML-Likeminded chief Hamid Nasir Chattha has dispelled the impression that he was going to defect his party, saying that he was Muslim leaguer and will not join any other party. During a wedding ceremony, he told newsmen that an intervention of the third power may delay elections for a long time. He added that the United Muslim League had formed two teams to talk with the PML-N and PTI. At the Walima ceremony of Ahmad Zaheer, Chattha stated, “I am Muslim leaguer and will remain Muslim leaguer. My father Salahuddin Chattha was Secretary General of the All Pakistan Muslim League of United Pakistan.”He added that some people spreading rumours about his political future. “I will not change my loyalties,” he added. “We are now United Muslim League consisting of Awami Muslim League, Zia Muslim League, PML-Functional and Likeminded.” The united Muslim League has formed two teams to negotiate with the PTI and PML-N) and will submit a report and suggestions during next meeting scheduled to be held at the residence of Saleem Saifullah, he added. He added that final decision would be taken with mutual understanding and in the light of suggestions of the United Muslim League. “Under President Zardari, the general elections would be held next year but if if any third power intervenes, no one would be able to say when the polls would be held,” he said. “Die to wrong policies of PPP government, key institutions like Steel Mills, Pakistan Railways and PIA are on the brink of destruction.”This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
