PESHAWAR- An anti-terrorism court (ATC) today conducted the hearing of three different cases against the chief of outlawed Tehreek Nifaz Shariyat Muhammadi (TNSM), Sufi Muhammad, during which the witnesses recorded statements against the accused for the first time.
During hearing of three separated cases against Sufi Muhammad today, the accused along with two of his sons appeared before the court. The hearing conducted at Central Jail Peshawar, where two witnesses recorded their statements in a case pertaining to attacks on police teams in Peshawar. The other two cases against the accused included interference in official affairs and holding an illegal rally in Dir.
Earlier to this, no testimony was ever presented against Sufi Muhammad, this is the first time that someone came forth to record his statement against him. Moreover, the court adjourned the hearing till January 17.
