Deteriorating law, order situation condemned

QUETTA - The Provincial Vice Chairman of National Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony Ajab Khan Miankhel has strongly condemned the deteriorating law and order situation in the province and has said that the attempt to kidnap Hindu trader Ramesh and the killing of his son Jay Kumar was a matter of shame. 'Hindus are a minority but patriot citizens of this country and it seems govt is not interested in their protection, he added. Addressing a Press conference here on Friday, he said that Balochistan was facing a critical situation regarding security, adding, that life and property of the masses were not safe in this province. 'Acts of kidnapping for ransom, theft and robbery are mounting with every passing day, he said ,adding, citizens were restricted to the premises of their houses due to rampant incidents of kidnapping for ransom and target killings. Ajab Khan regretted the killing of Pakhtun traders in Baloch areas of the province and termed it a well-knit conspiracy to worsen the law and order in the province. He said that the rulers remained silent spectators over this situation in the province and taking no practical steps to bring improvement in law and order. He demanded of the government to take steps against anti-social elements and ensure the safety of people and their property. Responding to a question, he said that Peace Committee was working on to create brotherhood and harmony among all religious sects and remove all differences.
