Sacrifices of polio workers will not go waste: PM

ISLAMABAD- Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that sacrifices made by polio workers would not go waste, adding that the government’s plans will be implemented to ensure that the disease was eradicated completely

Talking to the Director General of World Health Organization Margaret Chan today‚ he said that he has called a meeting with all four Chief Ministers to discuss a strategy to eradicate polio from the country

Nawaz said that attacks on polio workers will not affect government’s resolve against the crippling virus.

Prime Minister further said all possible steps are being taken for bringing peace and prosperity to the country.

He said the country has been put on the track of development. Manufacturing sector has witnessed growth of nine percent as a result of government's policies.

Referring to the challenges of terrorism and energy crisis‚ Nawaz Sharif said the government is determined to immediately and effectively cope with these challenges.
