A disabled teacher has been facing great ordeal in performing his duties as there is 35km distance between his house and the school.
Village Rajiyaan-based Shakeel Ahmed who is disabled by his both of legs said that he had been transferred and posted at Govt Boys High School Gataaliyaan, 35km away from his house. He said that he had to reach his school by covering the prolonged distance and then to home after performing his duty at school.
He said that he repeatedly appealed to the high-ups of Education Department but to no avail. He said his uncle Fiaz Ahmed, 70, was bound to pick from and pick him to the school by motorcycle. He said that he was spending most of his salary on fuel charges. He urged Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to look into the matter and transfer him to the school closer to his residence.
