Hearing of Benazir Bhutto assassination case adjourned till May, 17

Rawalpindi- Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has adjourned the hearing of Benazir Bhutto assassination case without any proceedings due to the lawyers strike and non appearance of FIA prosecutor.
Judge Ismail Parvez Joya of ATC Rawalpindi took up the case for hearing Monday. FIA prosecutor Chaudhry Azhar did not appear in the court due to security concerns.
Chaudhry Azhar took the plea in the application filed by him in the court that he is facing grave security threats, therefore, he cannot appear in the court unless security is provided to him. The counsels of the accused also did not take part in the hearing process due to strike of the lawyers. The hearing of the case was adjourned till May, 17.
