OKARA - Armed dacoits looted gold ornaments worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, motorcycle and cash in various incidents during last 24 hours. As per detail, four unidentified bandits broke into the house of Saeed Ahmed, a resident of Shadman Colony, took the family hostage and made off with cash, 12 tola gold ornaments and other valuables. In another incident, three unidentified dacoits entered a bakery situated on Tehsil Road and robbed the owner Suleman Ahmed, resident of MA Jinnah Road. The dacoits took away Rs60,000 and a 12-bore gun from the guard. In the third incident of dacoity, six unidentified bandits broke into the house of Mohammed Ameen, a resident of Naik Town. The bandits made the family hostage and fled away with 6 tola gold ornaments and Rs1,70,000. Other incident took place near the town 12-L where Zakir Hussein, the resident of 53 R Town, was deprived of his motorcycle No. SLP-5210 and some cash by armed dacoits. In another incident, two thieves, Murtaza and Noor Mohammed stole fertilizer and wheat worth one lac rupees from a tube-well of Mohammed Ismail, the resident of Somyan Bholo Town. In the sixth incident of dacoity, two bandits Sabir and Arif ran away with Peter Engine worth 75 thousands rupees from land of Syed Amjad, the resident of New Abadi Baseer Pur. In another incident, two bandits Bashir Ahmed and Liaquat Ali robbed 24100 rupees cash and other household goods from the house of Mohammed Shafique, the resident of 21-L Town whereas the police have registered all the cases.
