BAHAWALPUR - Despite clear directions of the Punjab government, frequent violations of the Marriage Act continued in marriage halls and public places throughout the city.
People are using fireworks without caring for infants, elderly people and patients particularly during night functions at marriage halls situated on Railway Road and other parts of the city.
The fireworks sounds discomforts many people in their sleeps late at night and neighbour of marriage halls could not sleep due to the noise while people are falling into heart diseases.
The marriage halls situated near Railway Station are clearly violating the Marriage Act and presenting different kinds of foods while decoration lights are mocking the laws. The citizens demanded the DPO and the DCO to take immediate legal action against the people violating the one dish clause regarding wedding ceremonies.
