KHYBER AGENCY - Two militants were killed and three others injured in a clash with security forces at Lashora area of Jamrud, Khyber Agency on Tuesday.
Sources said that security forces launched operation in the Lashora area of Jamrud and killed two militants. They said that two personnel of security forces were also injured in the clash. They said that security forces also released two abducted persons from militants’ custody at Lashora and Shangar areas.
Meanwhile, security forces claimed to have killed nine militants and injuring 11 others during a fight with Laskar-e-Islam militants at the Aka Khel area of Tirrah Valley.
However due to remote area and lack of communication, the casualties could not be confirmed from independent sources.
An ISPR statement said that since the start of operation ‘Khyber One’ some 135 terrorists have been killed, including some important militant commanders while 250 militants laid down their weapons and surrendered to forces in Khyber Agency during.
