Qadri denies deal with government

DALLAS- Pakistan Awami Tahreek (PAT) chief Tahir ul Qadri will not be able to make Pakistan a country which the founder of Pakistan Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah dreamt of until people of Pakistan and overseas Pakistanis don’t stand for it.

He was addressing a reception in his honor by Dallas Pakistani community. The topic of the seminar was “Democratic Rights of Overseas Pakistanis.”

Addressing the meeting he said that looking at the plight of Pakistan, it seems “Yazeediat” has come to live again. He said Awami Tahreek and PTI staged a dharna due to the negligence of the state towards the country.

He questioned as to why Pakistan has only four provinces. Qadri said that if Pakistan had thirty or thirty five provinces, then it would be easy for people to get justice, new provinces would have new courts established.

He said that both the governments of Nawaz Shareef and Zardari had sold national assets on dimes. He alleged that Nawaz Shareef has sold 40 national institutions to his cronies and friends.

He said that Baluchistan had unlimited quantities of gold and minerals. “If these natural resources are exploited, then not only Baluchistan but the economic condition of whole Pakistan will change,” the PAT chief added.

Qadri said that everyone in Pakistan is encroaching on others rights and stealing from others which have set hell loose. He said that during Zardari tenure Supreme Court had forced the government to not appoint CEOs of 58 public corporations. “However, Nawaz Shareef did that through one notification. Currently every corporation head is PML-N worker”

He said that after plundering national institutions rulers have their eyes on natural resources. The deals on gold mines are being handled by their sons sitting overseas.

The event was also addressed by Ex. Mayor of Paris Texas and General Pervez Musharraf’s cardiologist Dr. Arjumand Hashmi, John Hamid, Parvez Malik, Iqbal Hussain, Nadeem Zaman, Mona Kazim Shah, Jawid Siddiqui, Shakeel Ahmad, and Nazia Khan.

Afterwards while talking to a private TV channel about the question which is widely in circulation in social media that Dr. Quadri took money and his contacts with Railway Minister Saad Rafiq, Dr. Quadri said that it had been two months since he met Saad Rafiq. Qadri termed all the allegations as rumors and vowed to sue the person who started this rumor for two billion rupees. He said that he refutes the claim that he was sponsored by establishment. He said Nawaz Shareef would have gone, if he had been working with establishment and his movement would not have ended.

He said that the video that is doing the rounds on social media is a doctored one. He said he has objection on the procedural aspect of blasphemy law. The PAT chief said that any ordinary corrupt policeman can file an FIR under this law which is not right. Qadri said that an FIR under the blasphemy law should only be registered by a first class magistrate not a corrupt lower level policeman so that this law is not misused.
