29 bureaucrats promoted to Grade-22

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday approved promotions of 29 officers in BS-22, following recommendations of the high-powered Selection Board. The board chaired by the Prime Minister reviewed cases of all eligible officers and recommended 29 officers for promotion to the post of Secretary (BS-22) and equivalent. Eight officers were recommended for promotion to BS-22 posts in Customs and Excise Group, Foreign Service of Pakistan and Police Service of Pakistan and 21 officers were recommended for promotion in the Secretariat Group. The Board noted that all the eligible BS-21 regular officers of the Secretariat Group have been considered and stand promoted to BS-22 and no other officer of that Group was now eligible for promotion at this stage. According to the list released by the media section of the Prime Ministers House the following officers have been promoted: Police Service: Fiaz Ahmed Khan, Javed Iqbal, Dr Waseem Kausar, Tariq Saleem and Javed Noor. Foreign Service: Masood Khalid. Custom & Excise Group: Muhammad Ramzan and Mehmood Alam. Secretariat Group: Ahmed Mahmood Zahid, Mrs Batool Iqbal Qureshi, Abdul Wajid Rana, Ghulam Dastgir Akhtar, Capt (Retd), Sohail Ahmed, Mohammad Sami Saeed, Akhlaq Ahmad Tarar, Attaullah Khan, Javed Aslam, Kazi Afaq Hussain, Muhammad Arif Azim, Imtiaz Inayat Elahi, Javed Mahmood, Anwar Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Ali Shah, Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri, Mrs Nargis Sethi, Amjad Ali Khan, Mohammad Ejaz Chaudhry, Kh M Naeem, Maj (Retd) and Agha Sarwar Raza Qazilbash.
