PML-N leaders urge PTI to unite for Pakistan's progress

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has urged PTI Chairman Imran Khan that let us forget the past and work together  for the development and prosperity of the country.

Talking to journalists in Islamabad today, he asked Imran Khan to leave negative politics and do positive politics for the betterment of the country.

Pervaiz Rashid said by-election results also stamped the correctness of the 2013 general elections.

The Information Minister said in NA-144 Okara where no PML(N) leader participated in the electioneering, got over forty-five thousand votes.

He said Imran Khan has fully run the electioneering in Okara and his candidate could only get over six thousand votes. He said the victorious candidate from Okara Riazul Haq has said he is a worker of PML(N).

Referring to 12th October 1999 when a dictator toppled a constitutionally elected government, he said we should work for the development of the country to provide a better Pakistan to the coming generations.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) central leader Hamza Shahbaz said the PML-N candidate’s victory is a confirmation of the mandate given by the people to the party in general elections in 2013.

Addressing party workers in Lahore, he thanked the people for supporting PML-N and its leaders.

Hamza Shahbaz said, PTI Chairman Imran Khan did not contest NA-122 by-polls due to fear of defeat.

He urged Imran Khan to join hands with the government in its efforts for progress and prosperity of the country.

In his address to the party workers, the PML-N winning candidate Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said his victory is the hat-trick by a petty worker of PML (N) against the PTI Chief.

Ayaz Sadiq said he will feel his victory truly on the day when Imran Khan will join hands with PML (N) Government for a better future of Pakistan.
