ISLAMABAD - Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Liu Jian called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday.  Yao Wen, Deputy Head of Mission was also present.
Matters relating to Pak-China bilateral ties and mutual cooperation in various areas between the two countries came under discussion during the meeting.
President Zardari said that Pakistan greatly values its relations with China, adding, that the Gwadar Port between the two countries would promote economic cooperation and enhance communication. He also took up the matter of his upcoming visit to China.
China’s Ambassador Liu Jian also briefed the President on the progress of the Gwadar port in the region.
