BAHAWALPUR - The Islamia University Bahawalpur Vice-Chancellor (VC) said that the IUB set up a special committee to check degrees of admission seekers in the upcoming session to discourage the malpractice and warned to take strict action against culprits who found guilty in the scrutiny of degrees.
IUB VC Dr Muhammad Mukhtar was addressing a meeting of Heads of various departments and Principal Officers here the other day. “Efforts are underway to make IUB a leading university in all fields of education and research,” Dr Mukhtar pointed out, adding that in the latest research ranking of Higher Education Commission (HEC), the IUB was at 13th position among 111 universities of the country.
Meanwhile, he directed to form a comprehensive academic Calendar at earlier stage for proper academic system in all departments for better results. He ordered to introduce the Campus Management Solution (CMS) based on computerized record in all the departments to improve the quality of education and academic disciplines.
The IUB VC remarked that the recent achievements in the field of research reflected devotion, dedication and cooperation of the faculty and administration under a committed leadership. He assured that the employees of the IUB would be given due respect and benefits and rules and regulations would be staff-friendly for better and healthy results.
He further directed to ensure that the guilty students involved in irregularities were sacked by the Disciplinary Committee of the IUB and should not be re-admitted in the university.
