The Lahore High Court stated that it was government's responsibility to take action against PAT chief Tahirul Qadri’s provocative speeches.
The LHC rejected the plea to issue stay order on PAT’s protest while dismissed another petition to arrest Tahirul Qadri. The petition was heard by a full bench headed by Justice Mahmood Ahmed Bhatti.
As soon as the hearing began, the petitioner stated that Qadri was inciting public to violence through his provocative speeches.
Hearing a petition seeking ban on PAT, the LHC judge Justice Khalid Mehmood said that any order would be issued after examining the record of Qadri’s speeches.
The court also issued notices to the PAT.
